Hello! I am Alison

Certified Hikyoga Instructor | Cleveland

I want to inspire people to get off of autopilot and see their surroundings with a fresh set of eyes!

Little about me

Alison, a 500hr Registered Yoga Teacher and Certified Hikyoga instructor is so excited to combine her passion of yoga and hiking! She began teaching in yoga studios around Cleveland in October 2012, and took her first Hikyoga class in 2018. Hikyoga combined her love of the movement and flow of yoga with her love of the great outdoors, and she was hooked!

Alison started her yoga journey after having a spinal fusion to correct an advanced case of scoliosis. Seeing all of the benefits the yoga practice had on her healing, as well as on her mind and spirit, Alison was inspired to become a yoga instructor in hopes of helping others.  “My favorite part of teaching is to see students come to class who are tense and tired, and by the end of the class they look like a new person. They’re calm, they’re glowing, they’re more comfortable in their body and they have a renewed sense of hope!”

Working full-time in Corporate America, Alison sees the importance of getting outside, unplugging from technology, and spending time reconnecting with nature. Often at work, Alison holds walking 1:1 meetings and goes outside during lunch to get fresh air. She values and sees the amazing benefits of slowing down your mind, and seeing the beauty that is all around us.  “Yoga has changed my life. I sleep better, my mind is clearer, the benefits are endless!”

Alison is so excited and feels blessed to lead Hikyoga events around the Cleveland area in the beautiful metroparks, wineries, beaches and arboretums!
