Hikyoga® for You & Your Little Yogi at Kate Sessions Park with Taimi

Join Sarah, a Pediatric Occupational Therapist and creator of Peace Love and Little Yogi’s and Taimi, a Speech and Language Pathologist and owner of San Diego Hikyoga, as you spend a morning doing yoga!

While you roll out your yoga mat for a Vinyasa flow with Taimi, Sarah will guide your little yogi through their own yoga class in a playful and lighthearted way.

Your little yogi will explore the journey of yoga on and off their mats in a creative and interactive way through movement, games, stories, educational themes, and sensory elements. This class enriches little yogi’s of all abilities to achieve an active and healthy lifestyle by supporting self-regulation, body and breath awareness, attention/focus, self- esteem, motor skills, social skills, language and communication, and creativity/imagination. Class structure includes warm up sensory based activity, introduction, interactive yoga with modifications of poses to support different levels and hands on assist, and ends with cool down and relaxation.

What to bring:  

Both mom and little yogi should dress in comfortable clothing for movement. Bring water and yoga mat for each participant. Please bring any medications possibly needed, for your child. Please inform the yoga instructor of any medical or physical limitations you or your little yogi may have prior to the start of class.

Where to meet:

Parking is easy and accessible at Kate Sessions Park. Meet Sarah and Taimi in front of the bathrooms, located at the top of the hill.

Please arrive 10 minutes before class to complete the Waiver Forms.
